Madeleine Melo, President (10 years), board member for 18 years, retired Certified Nurse-Midwife, also active in Sister City organization with Otsuchi, Japan.


Richard Pyorre, Vice President (20 years), founding board member, Fort Bragg High Alum, CEO of Pyorre Insurance Agency, LLC. Member and past president of Fort Bragg Rotary, founding member of Mendocino Coast Education Foundation, founder of Safe and Sober Graduation in Fort Bragg, Former Planning Commissioner for Mendocino County, youth and schools coach for soccer, baseball, football and wrestling.


Joe Sutphin, Treasurer and Construction Manager (20 years), founding board member, Fort Bragg High Alum, production manager for Campbell Timberland Management. Advisor for youth sports for baseball, football and soccer. Construction manager for many athletic fields and the Middle School Greenhouse and Garden in Fort Bragg.


Shirley Johnson, Bookkeeper and board member (5 years), Fort Bragg High Alum, retired Assistant Finance Director for the City of Fort Bragg and now now works as an Accountant for TopDoc America. Sunday school teacher for 19 years and an advisor for the Youth Project. She also supports the activities of Big Brothers/Big Sisters.


John Anderson, board member (2 years), forester for Mendocino Redwood Company. Active with his wife in youth sports with their two daughters.


Jennifer Bosma, board member (3 years), Fort Bragg High Alum, Retail Manager for two locally-owned supermarkets. Past President of the Redwood Elementary School Parents Club, co-treasurer of the Fort Bragg Middle School PTA, board member of the Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce; Scholastic Book Fair Coordinator at Redwood Elementary and helps with Fine Arts Night at Dana Grey Elementary.


Florence "Toby" Brazill, past secretary and board member for 15 years, Mendocino High Alum. Worked at local Safeway Store for 29 years in the office and as a checker. Bookkeeper for local motel for 16 years. Active in Native Daughters of the Golden West #210, serving as financial secretary. Member of the Mendocino Coast Hospital Auxilary.


Chris Brians, board member (9 years), grocery clerk at a local supermarket. Very active in on-site construction.


Clara Ekstrom, board member (2 year), office manager at a local medical firm, member of Fort Bragg Rotary, Past Vice President of Redwood Elementary School Parents Club, supporter and advisor to AGAPE, a support group for girls ages 3-16 who have been taken from their parents because of abuse or neglect situations.


Mike Galliani, board member (7 years), Fort Bragg High Alum, produce manager for the local Safeway store. He and his wife, Susan, are strong supporters of several local youth sports organizations for football, soccer and baseball. They are also supporters of the Sister City exchange program with Otsuchi, Japan.


Fred Giusti, founding board member (20 years), Fort Bragg High Alum, retired from Georgia Pacific. Very active on-site construction and a member of the Pentecost Committee that funds youth scholarships each year.


Janice Luoma, board member (9 years), Fort Bragg High Alum, retired from Bank of America and a partner in a co-op business providing a location for local crafts makers to market their creations. She acts as a chaperone for many field trips for the local Dana Gray School, 4th to 6th grades.


Dr. Rick McMillen, board member (18 years), owner of a dental practice. Former Fort Bragg Unified School District Board Chairman, with 20 years' service. Member and past president of Fort Bragg Rotary and advisor to Rotary Interact Club.


Bradley Gardner, a partner in Redwood Investment Group, Inc., became a board member in 2011. He has also served as the Fort Bragg Kiwanis Club's president for two terms, President of Parents and Friends, Inc. (a program for the developmentally disabled) for two terms, a board member with the Little River Men's Club, a board member of Glorianna Musical Company, and currently the president of the Fort Bragg Middle School Parents Club.


Stephan (Steve) Beeman is a long time Sports Foundation supporter, participating in numerous foundation fundraising events, joined the board in 2011. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus fraternal organization and has served as council officer and district director. He also served on the local recreational softball board as well as coaching for many seasons. Has worked in the automotive replacement parts industry for over 35 years, here on the coast as well as in Colorado. He is looking forward to helping the board reach their goals.


Joseph Bruce, non-voting student board member. As well as being the incoming Junior Class President, he is a member of the Fort Bragg High School Varsity Basketball and Soccer Teams and an active member of the High School Interact Club.


Jerry Murphy, ex-officio board member, was a founding board member and the first MCSF president and now serves as past president (10 years). He owns a local CPA firm, and he serves youth sports as a coach and referee/umpire.


John Griffiths, non-voting board member. He is the construction and maintenance manager for the Fort Bragg Unified School District, and is the liaison between the Mendocino Coast Sports Foundation and the Fort Bragg Unified School District.
