A Successful Dinner Auction

On Thursday night March 6 the Mendocino Coast Sports Foundation held its 13th annual dinner auction and it was once again successful due to the generosity of the businesses and individuals in our community. A big thank you to Silverís at the Wharf for allowing us to use their facilities. Although the complete numbers are not in it is estimated this event generated approximately $16,000 net to the foundation. Thank you to all of the individuals and businesses that attended the auction and or donated items to the eveningís events. All of the money raised goes to toward the improvement of Timberwolf Stadium. The next scheduled improvement will be the installation of permanent entry gates and fencing. There is yet more to do to complete this project but with the help of this community we are moving toward our goal. This project is an example of why this area is such a great place to live. There are very few communities that could pull off such an amazing task. In the last 16 years we have raised approximately $1.3 Million and used that money to create a stadium valued at approximately $10 Million! If you like your donations to be well spent, and get the most for your dollar, this is it. As an all volunteer organization everything contributed goes directly to the project. If you havenít seen the progress on the stadium go up and check it out, we think you will be impressed. Once again thank you to the individuals and businesses that continue to support us. If you have not yet participated its not too late to become part of this community pride project.
