Improvements to Timberwolf Stadium Continue

Improvements to Timberwolf Stadium continue to happen while the Mendocino Coast Sport Foundation prepares to host its annual dinner auction at Silver's at the Wharf on Thursday evening March 5. Tickets for the event are $40 and can be purchased at Pyorre Insurance Agency 310 S Main Street. The improvements that have been made or are planned for the next several months are: finishing of the interior of the announcers booth; improving the concession stand; stainless steel partitions in the rest rooms; some additional electrical work upgrades; adding a cart storage area; and paving of the parking lot.
The annual dinner auction is one of the main fundraisers for the improvement and completion of Timberwolf Stadium and donations to the live auction, silent auction and raffle prizes would be greatly appreciated. If you have anything you would like to donate please call 964-6331 and let them know.
The Mendocino Coast Sports Foundation is an all volunteer organization so virtually everything raised is put toward the completion of Timberwolf Stadium. The stadium is approximately 75% complete but yet to be done is the 40% of seating on the home side; second restroom building; northern walkway to the visitors side; all-weather track and landscaping.
If you haven't seen Timberwolf Stadium lately you owe it to yourself to go up and see what a community effort can accomplish. Our community is lucky to have so many civic minded people that have donated so much to make this dream a reality. The stadium not only serves the sporting and recreational needs of members of our community but it helps generates income to local businesses when traveling teams and their families come to the coast and shop, dine and stay the night.
